After 12 years in Cote d’Ivoire’s Urban Transportation Company as Engineering and Technical Manager, he joined Shell where he worked for 10 years, in Operation, Supply and Distribution activities, in West and Central Africa. Mr. TANOE covered West and Central African Countries, such as Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Senegal and Gambia, Togo and Benin, and played a significant role in Shell Oil Product Africa’s Distribution Operation Audit Review. He left Shell in 2007 as the Togo Distribution Manager and joined MRS Group on August 2007 as the Managing Director of MRS Oil & Gas Co Limited before his successful secondment to Chevron Oil Nigeria Plc. as the Managing Director in 2009.

In 9 months, he raised the net income after tax from NG 162.4 million up to 1,4 billion. He restored Chevron Aviation business and recovered 90% of the international aviation customers. He also set up and implemented a Business Assurance Committee to ensure Company Risk Management, compliance and Business Ethics were properly managed to ensure quarterly result publication by SEC (Security and Exchange Commission, Nigeria). From June 2010 to December 2011, he has overseen the Marketing and Corporate activities of MRS affiliates in West and Central Africa as Chief Operating Officer, and lead all business development projects of MRS in Guinea Conakry, Senegal, and Togo.

From 2014 to end 2016, he worked a Petroleum Special Advisor at BOST and TOR Ghana. At BOST, he received an Exceptional Leadership Award in December 2015: for Conception, organization and implementation of the Framework leading to the restoration of the Ghana Strategic Security Stocks by BOST. Moving from zero to 1 700 000 TM of fuels supplied in 17 months, on Clear transaction open account 90 days deferred payment, without any Letter of Credit and any default in payments. As Acting General Manager Commerce of TOR, Achieve the supply and delivery of 7 000 000 bbl of Crude Oil to the refinery, on Clear transaction open account 120 days deferred payment, without any Letter of Credit and any default in payments.
